Introduction: Vaishik Kota

Hello Delegates,

My name is Vaishik Kota and I have the pleasure of being your head chair for the Agra Summit Committee during BMUN LV! Currently, I am a sophomore majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology with an interest in pursuing medical school. I am originally from Pleasanton, California where I spent 3 years competing, chairing, and running Model UN conferences. Outside of Model UN, I enjoy playing volleyball & basketball, running 2k with my friends, and binging TV. I especially enjoy watching sports (I'm a huge Miami Heat and LV Raiders fan) and Grey's Anatomy, but lately, I've been watching a lot of anime. My favorite artist is J. Cole. I went to his concert in October; best experience ever! My favorite song is probably 03' Adolescence.

This blog is there for us as a dais to:

1. Allow you to get to know us better

2. Give you pertinent logistical information regarding committee

3. Provide you with extra, focused research materials

I am beyond excited to head chair the Agra Summit committee this year because I believe that it is crucial to discuss this ongoing conflict that has implications for the entire world. The Indo-Pak conflict is one that has been going on since their divide in 1947. It has escalated to a threat of nuclear war in 1999 and it continues, even today, to be prevalent in South Asia. I hope to go more in detail about this issue and provide you with more research as we get closer and closer to the conference. I look forward to seeing some wonderful debate on this topic and for this crisis committee to blossom over the weekend of conference.

In the mean time, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our dais at agrabmunlxx@bmun.org

Good Luck!
