Introduction: Nishitha Shetty
Hello, and welcome to BMUN 70! My name is Nishitha Shetty, and I’ll be one of your vice chairs this year. I am a senior studying history, with a concentration in South Asia. With that being said, the topic and agenda of this committee are very near and dear to my heart! I was born in India, and immigrated to the US when I was 6 years old. Since then I have lived in both Seattle and the Bay Area, finally ending up at Cal. Last semester I studied abroad in Paris, and absolutely loved it! Aside from BMUN, on campus I am also a member of a pre-law fraternity. In my free time, I like to go on hikes with friends, listen to hyper pop, and read fantasy novels. This is my final year with Berkeley Model UN, a conference that has been a part of my life for nearly seven years now. I am so excited to meet all of you, and hear your innovative solutions to a topic that in the status quo is yet to be truly resolved.
